Publications can be project-based and projects can be tools or interfaces. Today we will PLAY WITH ZINES: a zine which is a set of tarot cards and a zine which is an exhibition of small zines collected in a box that each in their own way actives engagement with the zine as a work of art.
radical becoming in the ongoing now and Symptoms of the Future are both books in a box, but they are much more. Opening them, you can become an oracle or a curator, you can play with cards and organize an exhibition. The only requirement is to get ready to explore them and follow their instructions.
Onomatopee is glad to organize an event with both these two projects, which make us reflect on the “playability” of books.
The afternoon will be animated by the authors, who will explain how to read and interact with these boxes they created. the Symptoms collective (Irena Boric, Mirjana Dragosavljevic, Dušica Dražic) will join us, and Alexandra Neuman, artist/author/designer of 'radical becoming in the ongoing now' will do an oracle reading performance.
You are very welcome to come and visit the exhibition at Onomatopee after. Unfortunate we cannot meet together for the event, but you can join the table at Onomatopee and experience the zine play!
