WHAT
The contemporary Psych movement is a cultural network of bands, labels and festivals, where sound experiment and artistic freedom holds sway. Thrilling Autonomy shows fragments of contemporary culture that concretize the thrilling fuzz of the scene in individual spheres of expression. Artists from bands who play at Eindhoven Psych Lab will expose their visual and poetic artworks, in order to show their off-stage creativity. Dutch artists who work parallel to today's underground sound will make analogies visible in light, paint and objects. Is there a shared aesthetic of individuality within and without the Psych scene? See for yourself!
THRILLING AUTONOMY emphasizes the authenticity of the individual and the autonomous practice, both on and off-stage. Curated by Glenn Peeters from Radar Men from the Moon
The exhibition is part and parcel of Eindhoven Psych Lab , a new European festival established to explore and showcase the futuristic sights and sounds of the modern psychedelic condition.
